ShadowStats

At GoldSilverValuation.com, we take into consideration gold and silver valuations from other sources.

The website ShadowStats claims to do the CPI adjustment the way the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) used to calculate it in 1980, by tacking on an additional factor to the official reported numbers, and they use that to adjust gold and silver for inflation. Note that we cannot verify any claims of ShadowStats, and we report their gold and silver valuations here as just one piece in the overall puzzle, and take it with a grain of salt.

Taking the gold and silver valuations from ShadowStats as of the time of writing, we get approximately $20,900.24 / troy oz for gold, and $966.77 / troy oz for silver.
